Movie Review: Blood In, Blood Out

Vatos Locos Forever

A good friend of mine in college was always talking about this movie, also known as Bound By Honor, always referencing it as one of the best he has ever seen.  Finally decided to rent this 1993 movie.  I was not too terribly disappointed.  I am not going to give a recap of the film, you need to watch it.  To me the most important aspect of a movie is the acting.  I will say that the actors, especially Damian Chapa and Benjamin Bratt had a definite tendendcy to overact in this film.  Not sure why Chapa did he seemed to have the ability to act.  Bratt, seemed as if he was still trying to figure out acting.  It appears he has it down now. Jesse Borrego, the artist was the most realistic and likeable, despite his obvious shortcomings.

 Overall, I give it a B/B-.
